How it works
Making the image
Type a width and height from 1 to 4,096 px, or pick a preset: HD (1920 × 1080), Square (1000 × 1000), Banner (1200 × 400), Thumb (300 × 200), Social (1200 × 630) or Avatar (400 × 400). Choose a background and text colour.
The label is printed in the centre in bold monospace. Leave it empty and the image prints its own size, such as 1200 × 630.
text size = shorter side / 8
Getting it out
Download as PNG, or switch to SVG to see and copy the code, which is a few hundred bytes. Copy data URI gives you a string you can paste straight into an src attribute or a CSS url(). The file is named placeholder-WIDTHxHEIGHT.
