How it works
Pinterest has no font menu, so each style swaps your letters for look-alike Unicode characters, such as the mathematical bold or script alphabets, or adds combining marks for strikethrough and underline. Type once, then copy the style you like.
The result is ordinary text, so it pastes into Pin titles, Pin descriptions and board names.
Where it works on Pinterest
It is refused or breaks in your username, and search, which matches plain letters.
