Paste a screenshot or copied image, then crop it and save it as a file.

How it works

From clipboard to file

Press Ctrl+V (Cmd+V on a Mac) anywhere on the page, or use the paste button, and the image on your clipboard appears in the left pane. Dropping or opening a file works too.

Saving the whole image writes the clipboard’s bytes exactly as they arrived, usually PNG, so nothing is re-encoded.

Cropping

Drag a corner or an edge to resize the crop, drag inside it to move it, or focus it and use the arrow keys: each press moves it 1% of the image, 10% with Shift, and Alt moves the right or bottom edge instead.

The crop always lands on whole pixels. A cropped image is drawn onto a canvas and saved as a lossless PNG.
