Estimate the extra orders and revenue a faster page could bring, using a conversion lift you choose per second saved.

Inputs

What you could reach after the work.
Share of conversions each extra second costs. Aberdeen Group’s 2008 study put it at about 7%; use your own data if you have it.
Only changes how amounts are shown.

How it works

The model

The tool is deliberately simple: each second you shave off lifts the conversion rate by a percentage of itself, and that lift is linear. Saving 2 seconds at 3% a second multiplies the rate by 1.06.

new rate = rate × (1 + seconds saved × lift per second ÷ 100)

Reading the result

It compares monthly revenue at the current and the new rate and shows the difference, plus a yearly figure. The lift per second is your assumption, not a measured constant, so try several values and treat the answer as a range.
