Open a logo, icon or drawing. It is traced into coloured vector shapes you can scale to any size.

How it works

How the trace works

The image is first reduced to a small palette of colours. Each colour then becomes layers of outlines, which are fitted with straight lines and curves and written as SVG paths.

Pick a preset as a starting point, then adjust the number of colours, stroke width and scale. Advanced options cover quantising passes, line and curve smoothing, the smallest path kept, blur, and decimal places.

Reading the result

Switch between the filled drawing and outlines. The figures show the number of paths, lines and curves, the size and file size of the SVG, and the palette it ended up with.

Download the SVG, copy its code, or open it in the SVG Optimiser to shrink it.
