How it works
A remux, not a re-encode
The video is opened with mediabunny, which reads the container's packets. The video packets are copied unchanged into a new container and the audio track is left out, so the picture keeps every bit of its quality and the job takes seconds even for long files.
Containers
The output keeps the source's container unless you pick another. A container is only offered if it can hold the video's codec as it is: H.264 and HEVC go in MP4, MOV and MKV; VP8, VP9 and AV1 go in WebM and MKV (and AV1 in MP4).
Checking the result
When it is done the player switches to the muted file, the waveform under the filmstrip goes flat, and the report on the right reads the new file's tracks so you can see the audio is gone.
