What goes in and what comes out
You give your name or brand and a few interests; you can rule out digits. An AI model (Llama 3.1 8B, run on Cloudflare Workers AI) writes five different Instagram usernames. Each draft has its own copy button, and "Write new drafts" asks again with the same brief.
The prompt describes how people write on Instagram: Short and memorable; dots or underscores between words are common.
Instagram's rules
A Instagram username must be up to 30 characters: letters, numbers, periods and underscores, no period at the start or end and no two in a row.
Every suggestion is cleaned before you see it: accents are folded to plain letters (so Vietnamese names work), spaces become the separator the rules allow, characters the platform refuses are dropped, and anything that still breaks the rules is thrown away.
